Reviews of Tinnitus, From Tyrant To Friend

“It’s very easy to read. I was completely engrossed by it and became very clarified by the fact, that apparently my tinnitus was my head’s way of trying to tell me that I was stressed. While I was reading, my tinnitus dropped noticeably, and my hearing improved considerably. It may be a coincidence, but after having pondered like crazy for two months on what was wrong with me, it was incredibly liberating finally to discover a dawning understanding of what the hell was going on in my head. As I said, I bought the book yesterday, and my hearing is fine today, too. Just so that you won’t misunderstand: the fact that I am suddenly able to hear again is not a miracle, maybe “just” a coincidence (since my hearing has in fact been varying), but I’m incredibly happy to have gained a little more insight into what tinnitus is and some tools to handle it. Amen 😉 Thanks D

I think your premise that this is a nervous system condition and not a specific physical malfunction with the ears (maybe there are some cases – I don’t know) that is the key here. I know in my research that I’ve read about people having surgery – maybe they removed a tumour but very often the tinnitus stayed. That is quite interesting. Anyway I can go on gushing and embarrass you a bit here but it fantastic where I’m at right now – and not just with my hearing but I just feel better overall. It is a gift that I will never forget. Best M

You have truly explained the nervous system and Tinnitus connection fantastically, thank you! You are one amazing person for being so positive and willing to help others, that makes for one wonderful person. Thank you Julian, I want you to know that in a dark hour of despair, that enclosed copy gave me a sense of light. For that I am so very thankful. S

I have just read your book “from tyrant to friend”. Also i have watched your videos on YouTube. I would like to say you are an inspiration & just knowing that it IS possible to beat tinnitus i am starting to feel better already. I have also taken your advice & got Gendlin’s book “Focusing” & i am going to start reading that soon. I have also inquired about CST & fully intend starting therapy. S
