Craniosacral therapy drops you into stillness where the mind goes calm and clear and the body processes any undigested life experience. Over a period of time you can expect deep tension to release from within your system and to discover a calm, peaceful interconnected feeling inside and around you.
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
A light hands-on contact tunes into gentle feelings of expansion and contraction in the core of your nervous system, which radiate out into every part of your body.
Craniosacral practice orients to this Primary Respiration via key contacts at the base of the cranium, and on the sacrum at the base of the spine – hence the name Craniosacral Therapy.
The cranial base and the sacrum access parts of the central nervous system that switch off the “fight or flight” stress response, and help drop you into a deep state of calm.
Sometimes a sense of calm can build, dropping you into a still-point, and a deep experience of peace, leaving you feeling rested, clear and at ease. When this happens the mind goes still, tension in the body relaxes and more awareness takes root inside the body.
In this light, Craniosacral Therapy helps most conditions, including:
- Shock and trauma
- Chronic aches and pains
- All stress-related symptoms
- Mental, emotional & spiritual agitation
- Finding one’s space, boundaries, rights, freedom of expression
